Fake UK Address Generator
Generate a random UK address - correctly formatted postcode, matching town or city.
What you can use a fake address for
- Address form testingCheck that your form accepts a real-shaped address, including non-US layouts.
- Postcode validationThe postcode always belongs to its city, so it exercises the validator properly.
- Checkout and shipping flowsWalk a basket through delivery steps without entering a real home address.
- Demo and staging dataSeed an environment with addresses spread across real cities.
- Design mockupsA believable address block for an invoice, profile or contact card layout.
- Sample CSVsGenerate a batch and paste it straight into a spreadsheet column.
This UK address generator builds a random UK address with a postcode in the right format for the town it belongs to - a Manchester address gets an M1 postcode, an Edinburgh one gets EH1. UK postcodes are the most commonly mangled part of a test address, so the outward code here always belongs to the city named above it.
The layout follows the UK convention: street, town, county, postcode. Copy the whole block or lift a single field into the form you are testing.
Fake Address Generator — FAQ
Are the UK postcodes valid?
The outward code belongs to the town shown with it, and the whole postcode follows the correct UK format, which is what postcode validation actually checks.
Are these real UK addresses?
The towns and postcode areas are real; house numbers and street names are randomized, so the address does not point at a real property.
Which UK cities are covered?
Cities across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.
Is it free?
Yes - free, unlimited and no sign-up.
For test data, placeholder and mockup purposes only. The Fake Address Generator produces randomly generated information for developers, testers, designers and writers — filling in test forms, seeding a demo database, populating a design mockup, or naming a character. Every detail is invented: the records describe no real person, and any resemblance to a real individual, household or business is coincidental. Do not use anything generated here to commit identity fraud, to deceive a business or another person, to get around age or identity verification, or for fraudulent billing. Doing so is illegal, and it is not what this tool is for. No social security, national insurance, passport, ID, bank or card numbers are generated here — deliberately. Phone numbers come from ranges permanently reserved for fiction and email addresses use reserved documentation domains, so neither can reach a real person.
