This policy explains what Pranksters.com collects, why, and the choices you have — including how our advertising partners (like Google) use cookies and data to show ads.
Accounts Are Optional
You don’t need an account to use the generators, and we never ask for personal details to use them. If you choose to make an account, we only keep what’s needed to run it — your email and your settings.
Your Creations Stay in Your Browser
The generators build and export images entirely on your device. We don’t upload, see or store the images you make. Where a feature does need to save something (such as a shareable book link), we tell you clearly at the point you use it.
What We Collect Directly
We keep simple, anonymous, aggregate statistics — such as how many times a generator has been used and its average star rating — to understand what’s popular and improve the site. These numbers are not tied to you or to any identifying information. If you create an account, contact us, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address and details you provide for exactly that purpose. Our servers also log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, in line with normal web-server practice.
Advertising & Third-Party Cookies (Google AdSense)
Pranksters.com is supported by advertising, served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. This helps show you more relevant ads and helps us keep every tool on this site free.
When you visit a page with an ad, your browser automatically sends certain information to Google, including the page URL and your IP address. Google may use this to estimate your general location, measure how ads perform, and, depending on your ad-settings choices, personalize the ads you see. On-Device Storage
We use your browser’s local storage for small preferences — like remembering light or dark mode and which generators you’ve already rated — so the site behaves the way you left it. This information stays on your device.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights over data we hold directly (like an account or newsletter signup), email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR): you can withdraw advertising/analytics consent at any time via the consent banner, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you're a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (a legal term that, under California law, covers some ad-cookie data sharing with advertising partners like Google, even though we receive no payment for it). You can opt out via the consent banner where shown, or via Google Ads Settings. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
We Never Sell Your Data Ourselves
We do not, and will never, sell, rent or trade your personal information to data brokers or anyone else for our own gain. Our advertising partners' use of cookies (above) is how the site stays free — we don't otherwise make money from your data. If our data practices ever changed beyond what's described here, we'd update this page first.
We Don’t Spam
You’ll only ever receive emails you actually asked for — a confirmation, a password reset, a reply to your message, or the newsletter if you opted in. Every email includes a clear one-click unsubscribe, and when you opt out we keep you out. No surprise marketing, and we never hand your email address to anyone else.
Data Retention
We keep account and newsletter data for as long as your account is active or you stay subscribed, plus a short period afterwards for security and record-keeping, unless a longer period is required by law. Aggregate, anonymous statistics aren't tied to you, so retention limits don't apply to them the same way.
International Data Transfers
Our advertising and infrastructure partners, including Google, may process data outside your home country. Where that involves transferring data out of the EEA/UK, those partners rely on legal safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Third-Party Links
Links that take you off-site — such as our Facebook page — are governed by those services’ own privacy policies, not this one.
Children
Pranksters.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some content on this site (mature-tier generators) is gated behind sign-in and age confirmation and is intended for users 16 and over. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time — most often to reflect a change in our advertising partners' requirements. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above.
