- The app has no accounts and doesn't send anything to us.

Who we are
Pranksters LTD runs the Pranksters: Prank & Fake Tools app and the Pranksters.com website. We're a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is on the terms page.
We decide why and how your data is used, so under data protection law Pranksters LTD is the "controller". If you have a question about your data, email hello@pranksters.com.
This policy covers the app and the website. The app comes first, then the website.
The Pranksters app
This part is about Pranksters: Prank & Fake Tools on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The iPhone and Android versions work the same way, so it covers both. The app ID is com.pranksters.app on both.
What the app collects
Nothing about you. You don't sign up or log in, and the app doesn't send anything to our servers. There's no analytics tool and no crash reporter of ours inside it.
Everything the app needs stays on your phone:
- Your settings, your favorites and your own sound board.
- Your fake call details, like the name and number you typed in.
- A photo you pick as a caller's picture, and a sound file you pick as your own ringtone (Pranksters Pro). The sound is copied into the app's private storage. Neither one is ever uploaded.
- Fake calls and timers. Your phone's own clock sets them off, as notifications. We don't send push notifications.
The app links to this website (for example "Contact us" and "Privacy policy"). Those open in your browser, and the website part of this policy covers them.
Ads
The free app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's ad software runs inside the app and collects:
- your phone's advertising ID (the Android advertising ID, or Apple's IDFA if you allow it)
- your IP address, which Google uses to work out your general location
- your device type and operating system
- how you use the app and the ads, like when you open the app and which ads you see or tap
- diagnostics, like how fast the app starts and whether it crashes
Google uses this to pick ads, count how they perform and stop fraud. It also reads an app set ID. Under Google's rules that ID is only for analytics and fraud prevention, not for choosing or measuring ads.
We don't see any of this data. Google only tells us totals, like how many ads were shown and what they earned.
Google protects this data. Under Google's data protection terms for AdMob, Google is responsible for following data protection law for it, including keeping it secure. It also encrypts the data while it travels. Google explains how it uses the information it gets from apps like ours, and its privacy policy covers the rest.
Apart from Apple's and Google's purchase systems, Google's ad software is the only third-party software in the app that handles data about you.
Your ad choices
- UK, EU and Switzerland: The first time you open the app, Google shows a consent message. Ads are personalized only if you say yes. You can change your answer any time in the app, under Settings > Privacy choices.
- iPhone: After your first prank, Apple asks if the app can track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, the app doesn't get your advertising ID, so your ads aren't based on what you do in other apps. You can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: You can turn off ad personalization or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. It's usually under Google, then Ads.
- Everyone: Google Ads Settings shows what Google uses to personalize ads and lets you change it.
Pranksters Pro removes the ads.
Permissions
The app doesn't ask for your location, contacts, calendar or microphone. It asks for:
- Notifications, so a scheduled fake call can ring.
- The camera, because the Stun Gun prank uses the flash as a light. It never takes a photo or video.
- Tracking (iPhone only), for ads. See above.
We only read a photo or sound file when you pick it yourself.
Pranksters Pro
Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play or the App Store. They take the payment, so we never see your card details. The store tells the app whether you own Pro, and the app remembers that on your phone. "Restore purchase" asks the store again.
Services the app uses

- Apple App Store, for iPhone purchases: Apple's privacy policy.
Security
The app keeps its settings in its own private storage on your phone, and we keep no copy. The data Google's ad software sends is encrypted while it travels.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep nothing from the app, so there's nothing for us to delete. If you uninstall the app, everything it stored on your phone goes with it. You can still ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, any time. For the app, the answer will be nothing, and we'll tell you so.
Google keeps its own ad data under its own rules. To clear it, use the ad choices above: delete your advertising ID, or go to Google Ads Settings. To take back a choice you made, like the consent message or tracking, change the same setting. For anything else, email hello@pranksters.com.

This part is about the website.
Accounts and email
You don't need an account to use the generators, and we don't ask for personal details to use them. If you make an account, we keep your email and your settings. If you join the newsletter or write to us, we keep your email address and what you tell us. We only use it for that.
We'll never spam you. You only hear from us when you've asked to, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
What we collect
The generators make and export images on your device. We don't upload, see or store them. If a feature does need to save something, like a shareable link, we tell you when you use it.
We keep simple counts that aren't tied to you, like how many times a generator was used and its average star rating. Our servers also log the usual technical details (IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and for fixing problems.
Ads and cookies
Ads on Pranksters.com come from Google AdSense. Google and its ad partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to show ads based on your visits to this site and others. When a page with an ad loads, your browser sends Google things like the page address and your IP address. Google can use that to work out your general location, measure ads and, depending on your settings, personalize them. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
You can see and change what Google uses for ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other companies' ad cookies at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
In the EU, UK and Switzerland, a consent message comes first. Nothing personalized or non-essential is set until you choose, and you can change your mind any time. It uses Google's certified consent tool, which follows the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to see, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or limit how we use it. For data we hold directly, like an account or a newsletter signup, email hello@pranksters.com. We'll reply within a reasonable time.
EU, UK and Switzerland (GDPR and UK GDPR): You can withdraw your ad and analytics consent any time through the consent message. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA and CPRA): You can ask what personal information we collect, ask us to delete it, and opt out of it being "sold" or "shared". Under California law, some ad cookie data sharing with partners like Google counts as that, even though we're not paid for it. You can opt out through the consent message where it's shown, or at Google Ads Settings. We don't sell personal information for money, and we don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal data, to data brokers or anyone else. The ads are how the site stays free. If that ever changes, we'll update this page first.
How long we keep data
We keep account and newsletter data while your account is open or you're subscribed, and for a short time after, for security and record-keeping, unless the law says we have to keep it longer. The counts that aren't tied to you don't have a time limit.
Data leaving your country
Google and our hosting partners may handle data outside your country. When data leaves the EU or the UK, they rely on legal safeguards like the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Links to other sites, like our Facebook page, follow those sites' own privacy policies.
Children
The app and the website are for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and ads in the app are limited to content suitable for teens. A few website tools (the mature generators) need you to sign in and confirm your age, and they're for people aged 16 and over. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what the app collects, we'll say so here.
