How to Run the Lie Detector Test

  1. Start the session. Allow microphone access for the full effect — the needle and waveform react to the subject's real voice. (No mic? It switches to fingerprint mode.)
  2. Calibrate. Type their name, then ask two easy warm-up questions — "Is your name Alex?", "Are we in your house?" — and analyze each. This sells the ritual.
  3. Ask the real question. Have them answer out loud, then hit Analyze Answer and let the machine "think".
  4. Deliver the verdict with a straight face. Repeat until someone cracks.
Operator's secret: while the analysis is running, press and hold the left edge of the machine for TRUTH or the right edge for LIE (keyboard: T / L). Nothing shows on screen — the machine simply "finds" whatever you decided. Do nothing and it makes its own mind up.

What is this online lie detector?

This is a free lie detector test online — a polygraph simulator built purely for pranks, party games and settling family "debates". It looks convincingly real: a stress-analysis needle that genuinely reacts to the subject's voice through your microphone, a scrolling waveform, a calibration sequence and a slammed-down TRUTH or LIE verdict with a confidence score. What it is not is science — verdicts are theater (or whatever the operator secretly chooses).

It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. There is no app, no sign-up, and audio is never recorded or uploaded — the microphone stream only drives the needle and waveform on your screen, and it is released the moment the session ends.

Who to test first

Siblings who "didn't touch your stuff", mates with suspicious alibis, kids who definitely brushed their teeth, and anyone who claims they're "five minutes away". Pair it with a fake incoming call for the interrogation-room setup, follow the confession with the Truth or Dare generator, or celebrate a guilty verdict with a roast. New to harmless mischief? Start with what makes a good prank.

Lie Detector FAQ

Is this lie detector test real?

No — it is a polygraph simulator built for pranks and party games. It puts on a very convincing show (live voice waveform, stress-analysis sequence, verdict stamp), but the verdicts are theater, not science. Even real polygraphs are famously unreliable, which is why courts rarely trust them.

Does it record my voice?

Never. If you allow microphone access, the audio stream is used live on your device to animate the waveform and needle — nothing is recorded, stored, or uploaded, and the microphone is released the moment you end the session. Decline the mic and it switches to fingerprint mode instead.

How do I control the verdict?

The operator always knows more than the machine. While the analysis is running, press and hold the LEFT edge of the machine for TRUTH or the RIGHT edge for LIE (on a keyboard: T or L). Do nothing and the machine decides on its own.

How do I make the prank convincing?

Ritual sells it. Have the subject place a finger on the scanner or speak clearly into the mic, ask two easy calibration questions first ("Is your name X?"), keep a straight face, and only then ask the real question. The live needle reacting to their actual voice does the rest.

Does it work on phones?

Yes — it runs in any modern browser on phones, tablets and laptops, no app or sign-up. Phones make it extra believable: hand it over like it is a proper instrument and let the full-screen mode hide the browser chrome.
