• Everything here is a joke. Don't use it to really scare, trick or hurt anyone.
• The app is free with ads. Pranksters Pro is a one-time purchase that removes them.
• You need to be 13 or older.

Who we are

These terms are between you and the company below. It runs the Pranksters: Prank & Fake Tools app and the Pranksters.com website.

Send any notice under these terms to hello@pranksters.com or to the registered office above.

The basics

These parts cover both the app and the website.

Entertainment only

Everything here is for jokes, parody and fun. Anything you make is fake, so never present it as real. The fake virus doesn't scan anything, and the broken screen doesn't damage your phone.

Who can use it

You need to be 13 or older. A few website tools (the mature generators) are for people aged 16 and over, and you have to sign in and confirm your age to use them. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you use the app.

Acceptable use

You're responsible for what you make and who you prank. Follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, never use anything here to really deceive, defraud, defame, harass, impersonate or harm anyone, and never break the law.

Pick your targets with care. Don't prank someone who's unwell, very young or elderly, or driving, and stop as soon as someone is upset.

Other people's names and logos

Our tools imitate things like phone call screens and social media apps, for parody. Those names, logos and designs belong to their owners. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them.

The Pranksters app

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on your own devices, for your own use. Please don't copy it, sell it, change it, take it apart, or pull the sounds and images out to use somewhere else. Don't remove our branding or notices. If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must delete the app.

The app's code, sounds, images and design belong to us or are licensed to us.

Ads

The free app shows ads from Google AdMob. Pranksters Pro removes them. Our Privacy Policy explains what the ads collect and how to change your choices. If you see an ad that shouldn't be there, use "Report an ad" in the app's Settings.

Pranksters Pro

Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it doesn't renew. Google Play or the Apple App Store takes the payment, so their payment terms apply. Pro covers the features listed on the Pro screen when you buy it, and we'll keep those working for as long as we offer the app. Use "Restore purchase" in Settings to get it back on a new phone.

We can't refund you ourselves, because the store holds the payment. Ask the store you bought from: Apple or Google Play.

Apple's and Google's terms

If you get the iPhone app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement applies too. Apple isn't responsible for the app or for supporting it. We are. If you get the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service apply too.

Fake calls aren't real calls

The fake call is only a screen and a sound on your phone. It isn't connected to any phone network, it can't make or take a real call, and it isn't an emergency service.

Loud sounds and flashing lights

Some pranks are loud, like the air horn and the sirens, and some flash, like the stun gun. Keep the phone away from ears. Take care around people who might be startled or sensitive to flashing lights. Don't use the app while you're driving or anywhere a sudden noise or distraction could cause an accident.

Updates and stopping

We update the app from time to time, and you may need the latest version to keep using it. We can change the app or stop offering it. If we stop, we'll tell you in advance where we can.

The Pranksters website

Your creations

The generators run in your browser. We don't see or store the images you make unless a feature tells you otherwise. What you make is yours, and so is the responsibility for how it's used.

You can share, post, print, message or repost anything you make, including images with the Pranksters.com logo or watermark, anywhere online or offline, as long as it's unedited and for personal or fun use. You can't take out our branding and pass our designs off as your own, resell or redistribute our templates, or use them commercially without our written permission.

Our content

Pranksters.com is protected by copyright. That covers the design, the code, the generator templates and all our written content (articles, lists and guides). Please don't copy, scrape, republish or redistribute any of it without our permission.

Liability

We provide the app and the website "as is" and "as available". We don't promise they'll always work, be accurate or be free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or damage from using or misusing them, or from anything you make or do with them. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. It doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer either.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top. If you keep using the app or the website after that, you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute. If you live somewhere with consumer laws that give you the right to use your local courts, those rights stay. Before any formal step, please contact us so we can try to sort it out directly.
