How do I play an animal sound?
Tap any animal and its sound plays straight away in your browser. Tap it again to stop, press Random sound for a surprise animal, or Stop to cut whatever is playing. It works the same on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
Are these real animal sounds?
Yes. The dogs, cats, farm animals, birds and wild animals are recordings of the real thing, so a cow sounds like a cow and a lion sounds like a lion. The funny section is the exception: those are the meme animals, like the screaming goat.
Is this good for kids learning animal sounds?
Yes. Every animal has a picture and its name, so younger kids can tap the picture, hear the sound and say the animal's name. Try playing a random sound and asking them to guess the animal before they look.
Will dog barking sounds make my dog bark?
Often, yes. Plenty of dogs react to a dog barking on a phone or a speaker, especially a loud bark and the dog howl. Keep the volume reasonable and stop if your dog seems stressed. For a high-pitched tone instead of a bark, try the dog whistle.
