The Scary Snowman is back. In this video the icy seven foot monster goes out to terrorize unsuspecting people again. Our old write-up said it proves that even the sweetest of Christmas traditions can be petrifying.
A cozy symbol turned into a threat
A snowman is about as friendly as a winter figure gets. The prank takes that image and puts a person inside it, big and unnaturally still until the moment it moves. The contrast is what scares people. A character they have known since childhood does something it was never supposed to do.
Why costumes this big work
- Height alone changes how a figure feels. Looking up at something is more intimidating.
- A mask that does not change expression gives the viewer nothing to read.
- A cheerful design makes the scare more of a shock.
Costume safety for pranksters
A tall, bulky costume limits what the person inside can see. Stunts with it should happen in open, well-lit, flat places, with a spotter and away from traffic. For spooky effects that need no costume, try the Scary Sounds board.
