Scary Dead Girl Prank

A familiar movie image is the setup

The ghost girl works because the audience has seen her before. Pale nightdress, black hair over the face, a sudden scream. In a film that is a cliche. On a sidewalk, with no cut and no music, passers-by have to deal with it in real time.

Elements that make the scare land

• The figure appears from nowhere, so there is no time to prepare.
• The sound arrives with the sight. A scream is the part people feel in the chest.
• The setting is ordinary, which is the point. Horror is stronger when the street looks normal.
