Yousef Erakat, who goes by fouseyTUBE, is a YouTube sensation. Our original profile calls him a Palestinian-American internet phenomenon and a top prankster, funny, daring and not a little bit insane, with some of his best-loved stunts racking up tens of millions of views. You do not get millions of subscribers, the profile says, by being boring and safe.
The video above
Mortal Kombat Elevator Prank 2 is a good place to start. Elevators are there so we can avoid stairs. They are not there for mythical martial artists from video games to hand out punishment and test their fighting skills, but in fouseyTUBE's world they are. Our old description said it fools, scares and amuses the people inside, in that order.
What to expect from his style
- Big, physical setups built around a single idea.
- Reactions from strangers that carry the video.
- Pop-culture references that the audience recognizes right away.
Do not copy the elevator
A stunt in a small closed space can frighten people badly and may break local rules. If you like the idea, try a version with friends who know it is coming. The Practical Jokes list has plenty of harmless starting points.
