Aggressive dog breeds. When you read that phrase – what do you think of? Little Dachshunds or Chihuahuas? Jack Russell Terriers? No, of course not! You think of Staffordshire Bull Terriers or, more likely, American Pit Bull Terriers. But why? Well, because they’re more aggressive, right? WRONG!
Those other three we mentioned, though? They actually score worst of all dog breeds on the American Temperament Test Society’s ‘Tolerance Test’. Pit bulls, behind Labradors, are actually the most tolerant. What does this mean? Naturally, they’re the second most passive and non-violent breeds of dog.
And yet the public – directed by the media – think quite the opposite, don’t they? It’s time to re-educate people. Ryan from HammyTV is keen to prove the point and does so in brilliant fashion here in this Pit Bull social experiment.
The results and some of the responses here are shocking. Opinions and attitudes towards so-called ‘aggressive dog breeds’ need to change. And fast.
